We've had the most glorious summer in recent memory and the heatwave doesn't look like it's going away anytime soon. So, if you haven't booked your summer party yet (why not?!) then we have the perfect Manchester solution for you, Manchester Art Gallery.
The Gallery is one of Manchester's pre-eminent venues, award-winning and visually stunning, the spaces are also highly flexible.
What could be better than an evening of sunshine, great food and your favourite cold beverage with some of your favourite people?
Manchester Art Gallery is the perfect place to do it. The Atrium is a beautifully light and airy double-height space, with exposed brickwork that also leads on to a sunny terrace.
It doesn't end there either for sunshine-filled events. The Gallery Café is a bright and flexible space that has capacity for up to 120 people. The Café also leads onto a beautiful, leafy terrace, perfect for whiling away the summertime.
Food, Glorious Food
The Gallery has recently appointed Matthew Taylor as Head Chef of The Gallery Café. He moved to The Gallery Café from Manchester’s Hotel Gotham, where he was awarded 2 AA Rosettes in May. He has extended the all-day menu to include summery bakes, seasonal salads and fresh, light meals.
Regional suppliers and seasonal produce are used where possible to create dishes such as chicken schnitzel with heritage potatoes; a celery, apple and goat’s cheese salad with broad beans and hazelnuts; and Moroccan-style couscous with fresh apricot, pomegranate and toasted seeds.
Talking about summer and Christmas in the same breath seems a little unbelievable, but the Atrium is also perfect for festive celebrations, and take it from us, it's never too early to book.
