We know that organising events isn't on your to-do list right now. That's why we want to give you something interesting to read that may inspire you for when this period of uncertainty is over, and you can start planning again!
From the Louvre to the Met, galleries around the world are a gathering place for the crème de la crème of artistic talent, and often call minimalistic, open-plan venues their home. You see art, we see an opportunity for a great event!
Whether you're thinking about putting on your own art display or simply want to hire a gallery space for a product launch, exhibition or reception, galleries are unique and impressive blank canvas spaces bursting with culture, history and cool-as-a-cucumber vibes. Here's 5 UK galleries we're loving at Hire Space.
Royal West of England Academy
If you read our previous piece on our UK Destination of The Month for February, you'll see exactly why we love Bristol. If you love Bristol as much as us, then you'll also love the RWA, a stunning Grade II listed gallery available for all manner of events. With a sweeping marble staircase, skylight and decadent gallery spaces, this venue would make for a truly impressive drinks reception, product launch or conference.
Hot Feature: With every booking made in one of the main galleries, RWA offers your guests an exclusive tour of the current exhibition!
Bankside Gallery
Set in the heart of London's buzzing new cultural hub, Bankside, this contemporary ground-floor gallery is light, bright and a great setting if you're planning a product launch, evening reception for 200 guests or even an intimate dinner for 60 guests. Dinner + incredible art to admire = a winner in our eyes!
Hot Feature: Bankside also run wine tastings, so if you want to add a touch of class to your event this could be a great add-on activity!
Fold Studios
Calling all immersive event/product launch/pop up organisers! Slightly edgier than your typical gallery, Fold Studios offers versatile, white, blank canvas spaces that allow you to let your creativity come to life. Stunning industrial-chic vibes along with a vaulted ceiling and great gallery lighting means your event photos are going to be seriously cool. Perfect eye-catchers for marketing your future events.
Hot Feature: The space is also available to hire alongside one of their rotating art exhibitions if you wanted to add an artistic flare to your event.
Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery
Set in the picturesque Walpole Park, but still a stone's throw from Central London, the equally picturesque Pitzhanger Manor is the former home of Sir John Soane, one of the most influential architects in British history. Adjacent to the Manor, the contemporary art Gallery, housed in the 1939 library building, provides space and light poured through glorious coloured roof lights inspired by Soane's architecture.
Pitzhanger is a great option for an evening reception, corporate dinner or photoshoot. Along with catering partner Social Pantry, they offer exquisite dinners in their stunning Georgian spaces. This gallery packs a serious historical punch.
Hot Feature: Our favourite space is the Conservatory - perfect for a sundrenched drinks reception or wedding breakfast.
A&D Gallery
The highly-respected A&D Gallery, Marylebone's oldest art gallery, opened its doors in 2000 and prides itself on its strong sense of wanting to help new artists and collectors get their feet off the ground. The gallery offers three versatile spaces, each with the opportunity to be transformed into a creative setting for all kinds of events, whilst providing a fluid interconnecting layout to get your guests circulating.
Hot Feature: This gallery often hosts charity exhibitions for charities such as Great Ormond Street Hospital, Concern, and Teenage Cancer Trust.
