Meetings at the Stationers' Hall

The Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers once held a monopoly over all publishing in England, today they draw their members from across the media from advertising to newspapers and digital media. What better place then, to host your next meeting or conference, than the guild hall of a livery company so closely tied to the communication of ideas.

Meetings at Stationers’ Hall enjoy the incredible history of the building and the unique atmosphere of its events spaces. The primary space is the Livery Hall. This room is enhanced with huge stained glass windows, backlit for evening events, depicting William Shakespeare, William Caxton, St Cecelia, William Tynedale and Archbishop Cranmer. The larger north window purports to display Edward IV and his Queen, Elizabeth Woodville, being shown a proof by William Caxton.

Just as William Caxton once presented his printing revolutions to the world, give your presentations weight and grandeur with all the storied history of the Livery Hall. Not only does the room benefit from the ambience of sixteenth-century carved oak panelling and oak floors, the events team are ready to provide AV solutions to support your presentations.

Perhaps the most quirky feature of the room should you require entertainment during lunch or post-meeting drinks, is the carved screen, surmounted by a Minstrels’ Gallery, which may be used for small bands or choirs. Candlelight and music are permitted in this room, should you want to double down on the incredible atmosphere of the building.

The Livery Hall can host up to 200 delegates. If you require a smaller space the Stationers' Hub in the neighbouring church, St-Martin-within-Ludgate is available for use. These rooms are ideal for smaller meetings, conferences and training days for between 12 – 50 people

Knowing that you’ve secured a great venue that will impress your guests and actively support your event, is a great foundation of confidence to give your talks and presentations extra vigour.
