24th December 2013

In this fast-paced, high-tech world, it's often difficult to enjoy a few moments of solitude, let alone a meal completely free from outside distractions and with great cuisine to boot. Luckily, the team at Hire Space is here to provide a list of fine private dining options that will help you to arrive at that "happy place." James Roche brings you five top private dining spaces in the city.

Boisdale Belgravia

Button Boisdale Belgravia

"A fixation with obtaining perfection, without ever compromising on quality; a continuous quest for excellence in every single detail" - no, I am not referring to Hire Space co-founder Ed Poland's five-a-side football prowess, but the range of Ferrari Metodo Cassico sparkling wines available at Rocket Bishopsgate's fantastic free tasting event! Taking place on the 25th September, demand for places will be huge so make sure you book today!

While we're all fans of the bubbly on offer at this superb East London events space (not to mention the divine Mediterranean cuisine and tasty two-for-one cocktails at happy hour), it is the private dining facilities that really steal the show. Whether you're hosting an intimate dinner in the Mezzanine Room or a corporate Christmas bash in the restaurant, Rocket Bishopsgate has all the ingredients for a top night out.

Speaking of Christmas parties, why not book yours at Rocket Bishopsgate this year? Choose from any one of their magnificent packages or create your own. From a three course meal and selection of wines to share with close friends and colleagues to a more lavish affair that would put Elton John to shame, this venue will definitely meet (and surpass) your expectations.

And while you might not have Elton's musical flair or showmanship, a visit to this splendid venue will most certainly leave you a "Rocket Man" (or lady) for life.

Inamo Regents Street

Button Inamo Regents Street

Whenever I feel stressed out, I try and imagine Enya singing "Orinoco Flow" (Sail Away) to me in a dimly lit room smelling of lavender... At the same time, giving me an amazing neck massage... And smelling my hair during the instrumental. OK, so I guess I have a thing for Enya but for everyone else, it's hard to imagine anything quite as relaxing as the private dining space at Inamo, Regent Street.

Inamo's Japanese Garden setting provides the perfect backdrop for your private dining experience - a world of peace, calm and tranquility hidden amongst the hustle and bustle of Central London.

Despite the idyllic setting, you can still access Inamo's famous interactive dining services. Order your meal and play games against dining companions with their "e-tables" and become part of the truly unique, Inamo experience.

This Oriental fusion restaurant and bar offers a great space for hire regardless of your event - from casual drinks to fine dining, corporate dinners, launches, birthdays parties and much more.

Elena's L'Etoile

Button Elena's L'Etoile

Providing first class cuisine in an intimate setting for over a century, it's really no surprise that Elena’s L’Etoile has carved such a legendary reputation. This is private dining as it should be: warm and inviting, yet still glamorous; the food striking a perfect balance between style and substance and the decor taking us on a nostalgic journey through French history and culture.

Located in ultra-hip Soho, Elena's L'Etoile offers a range of exquisite rooms, including the Oscar and Glass Salons. For the most intimate of the intimate, however, it's hard to go past Elena's Private Salon.

Once a cigar salon, the space still houses an antique wooden humidor cupboard which features dozens of locked drawers full of cigars belonging to some of Elena’s most famous patrons.

The Anthologist

Button The Anthologist

A deli, bar and two cocktail lounges - I'm sold already. And that's without paying homage to the remaining spaces on offer at this central London favourite.

The decor at The Anthologist is inventive, stylish and memorable, a worthy backdrop indeed to your next dinner. And the depths of the drinks cabinet go without saying- you won't be disappointed with your aperitifs

With a staff committed to your every need, this versatile events space is ideal for any occasion and is especially at home on our list of top private dining
in London

Lord's Cricket Ground

Button The Writing and Committee Room at Lord's

It may have been a childhood dream to watch an Ashes match at Lord's but after visiting the hallowed turf and viewing the facilities first-hand, I can now say that my ultimate "grown up" dream now involves enjoying a five-star meal at this iconic venue. I also "accidentally" poured my glass of red wine over Stuart Broad's whites in that same dream but that's probably irrelevant.

While you're never short of fine dining options at the "home of cricket", I could definitely settle for an afternoon or evening in the majestic Writing and Committee Dining Room. The elegantly furnished space is beautifully proportioned and an intimate setting for smaller lunches, dinners or receptions

Lord's Cricket Ground is a one-of-a-kind venue and so too is the Writing and Committee Dining Room. You only need to check out the pictures and our range of special deals to see for yourself.

Wow! What an amazingly diverse list of venues! I'm not so sure about the unprovoked attack on Ashes-winner Stuart Broad, but I'll let you off for the 5 a side comment. You Aussies will get over it one day. For more information on these or any of our other wonderful spaces, check out our website.
